Visited the coffee shop many times and had fresh cake and coffee at a reasonable price. The shop always has fresh fruit and veg from local farmers. The trail was approximately 3.5 km - well maintained, clear markings and beautiful, picturesque sights.

Amazing place to get away from every day bustle. Kept litter free. Facilities clean. Walkways mowed and well marked. Staff friendly and helpful. Little shop well stocked with fresh produce.

River Valley Nature Reserve in Margate is truly a hidden gem! The picnic sites are absolutely perfect—well-maintained, serene, and surrounded by stunning natural beauty. It’s the ideal spot to relax and soak in the peaceful atmosphere while enjoying quality time with family or friends.

So worth the drive. Beautifully nesting on the top of a hill with the most amazing views and activities for the family. On-site little store with delicious home baked treats , novelties and gifts. The handcrafted cutting and serving boards are insane ! What an awesome visit. Not to mention the darling young lady in attendance, her warmth and hospitality was remarkable.

Went for a mini walk with the family today. Was pleasantly surprised at how peaceful, quiet and pretty the place is. Stopped at the coffee shop and had the most delicious carrot cake. The sour dough bread tasted delicious as well. The receptionist is warm and friendly.

I was blown away this last Sunday. Taking my 2 kids out to this gem of a place was a great day outdoors and making memories. A fair entrance free, beautifully kept estate, clean and to top it all the fishing was good. Highly recommend for a fun day outdoors.
